Summary of Position:
This position is a key player in the Finance group at Zero Motorcycles, a rapidly growing world leader in the design, production, and sales of electric motorcycles.
This is an outstanding career opportunity to support the accounting department in the area of cost accounting, monthly financial close, inventory analysis, BOM review and recommendations, variance analysis, cycle count procedures, annual physical inventories, and the annual financial planning process.
Key
Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the company cost accounting system and processes.
Maintain and develop needed management reports.
Work closely with Operations to develop strong inventory management procedures.
Maintain integrity of data in the ERP system as it relates to Inventory and product costs.
Make presentations to all levels of management within the company.
Finance lead in annual physical inventory, including planning and implementation.
Design and lead the inventory cycle count procedure.
Develop working knowledge of all activities in the Finance department, including ability to assist coworkers on other accounting activities.
Work with outside auditors as needed to provide necessary schedules and supporting details.
Maintain and improve warranty reporting.
Confirm the accuracy of the bills of material.
Prepare and maintain a comprehensive Gross Margin analysis.
Conduct variance analysis, leading to actionable insights to improve the company's operations.
Calculate appropriate inventory reserves.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations for inventory and other balance sheets accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

A.
Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent and at least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of intercompany transactions, a plus.
Intermediate understanding of manufacturing in a standard costing system environment.
SAP experience (a strong plus)Skills and AttributesAbility to perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Solid computer skills including financial analysis and modeling in Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A positive attitude, team player orientation, ability to build strong relationship with others.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Strong analytical skills.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time to perform duties, and to move around and make inquiries from other staff, management as needed.
Must be able to bend or stoop down to access files, including lifting of items or objects up to 20 lbs.
