Job Description:
We are seeking an energetic, patient, thoughtful, and outgoing Home support worker to support & assist an individual in the surrounding community.
You will teach all community safety & awareness, social interactions & self-help skills.

Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support to an individual in their home & community whom has a diagnosis of Autism or other developmental disabilities & has limited safety awareness.
Implement the individuals Support Plan as developedProvide the necessary accommodations to support an individual with various challenges (behavioral, physical, communication, etc.
) within their home and communitySupport the individual to establish a daily/weekly schedule of activities.
Act as a mentor and role model for socially acceptable and culturally valued ways to interact and support each other to be successfulParticipate hands-on in all activitiesAssist and support the person to maintain their own personal safety and well-beingProvide information to family members about the unique needs of the individual to assist in the building of a more cohesive family unit.
Comply with all policies and procedures of the organization and public locations of activitiesOther responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
Experience supporting individuals with Autism and or developmental disabilities preferred not required.
